Hey fellas, ive been comtemplating this for quite some time now. Running my new setup lift/tires etc, it would be really nice to get some of my lower end power and maybe some mileage back. Ive been looking at the diablo predator for probably 6+ months now trying to decide weather to purchase it or not. Iam not a hard driver, my truck gets babied, but of course i do lay into'r now and again. I do lots of highway driving. Id likely run it on the 40hp to 65HP tune MAX all the time, i have no trans upgrades and dont wish to do any thus far, its custom 3.5" straight piped, i have boost/pyro guages. Am i just a little over paranoid to damage something? I have a friend running the predator on his LLY and he loves it, only limped his trans twice and that was on the 120HP tune. Any help or encouragement would be great!

I love mine, I tuned my wifes LB7 Escalade to 40hp, no real milage gain but great power jump, I also reset it and tuned my LB7 Suburban to 65hp and that seems to work well but much less noticable power gain, It's pretty damn heavy though. Dont expect milage improvment, the added timing is nice but in the real world dosn't do much. I love the real time data and ability to read ballance rates plus the LB7 unit is resetable so you can tune as much as you want but doing that makes it imposible to go back to stock but a 40hp tune is stock in my book. If your under warr. go to edge its a piggyback system that is undetectable by dealers.

Well i broke down and bought'r yesterday, should be here by monday/tuesday. Look forward to trying it out, ill keep'r on the 65HP tune i think just to be safe. Will i notice a big difference from stock? will my truck smoke more? my truck dosent even remotely smoke to begin with of course. But a little black would be kinda fun to have!
thanks for the input guys!

I am sure you will get the itch and just put it on 85hp tune or bigger just to try it out. We all have done it. It will be an improvement over stock but it won't be huge. You probably won't get much smoke either till you get into the higher tunes.

I really don't see too much smoke with mine set at 65HP. Only if I stomp it down from a stop do I leave a small cloud. You will feel the difference in power though. I'm pretty happy with mine.

well i picked her up today, changed the fuel filter and installed the 65HP tune. Definatly a big difference from stock only have about 20km on the new tune thus far, probably going to take some getting used too as per the shifting that she does now, definatly shifts different. Maybe my trans needs some re-learning time? Anyway its nice to have that low end power back, EGT's are roughly 50-100 lower than previous at cruising speed on the highway 750-800ish still cant get it to 1350 or higher when i throw'r down which is good! It might just be me but i think im seeing faster spool up, and seen about 28-29 psi whereas id be doing good if i seen 23-25max before. Im still a little hesitant about running this but im sure it will grow on me, and many of my friends have told me to stop worrying.
all in all im impressed thus far, thanks again guys for your information regarding this programer!
