From the comments of other members that was a good choice. I wanted EFI live originally but didnt have the $$ to shell out at the time.

You got a bit more than a code reader there, but you won't be disappointed.

x2 That's one expensive code reader!! You love it. Now it's time to read the EFI Live section front to back.:D

just curious, but how did you jump from just wanting a code reader to gettting a full ECM tuning package? that's a huge jump in price, but not a bad purchase. just curious how you decided on that.

No doubt! I had thought about EFI Live, but ended up going with an Actron Scan Tool, since I have 3 other vehicles in the house that I can use it on. Maybe next time when the power bug bites...

You can tell that I'm the got to get-r-done now type? To answer the Question why I picked the EFI V-2. Info here and on their Webb site. Sounded like the best bang for my buck. Now How long does take to get here? :D

His second post indicates that he purchased the FlashScan Scan Tool, not the Scan and Tune tool. If that's the case, it's still probably an expensive code reader at $399, but it is fully upgradable to the Scan and Tune tool should he ever decide to go down the custom tuning path.
