How hard is it to replace the shift lever? My tow haul button stopped working and I need to get it going before the summer towing season.

Its probably just the wires are broken down by the column where they flex. You can repair them.

I have read on here that the wires break from when adjusting tilt on wheel. When i put cruise on mine i could see how this would happen so i adjusted mine so, hopefully i will not have this problem down the road. Wires are in the column were they come out of the shifter(very small wire). They're 2 screws on the bottom of the cover around the steerring column. I think u will have to remove the knee panel(i can't remember right off hand). It's not hard just take your time. The only thing is, be care when removing the knee panel due to it is held on with 2 metal clip on each side of the column. Use a flashlight and u can see them. I believe there is a bolt in the fuse panel on the divers side that u have to remove also. There is a thread about putting cruise on the truck that shows and tells how to remove all that i just described.
