Ok guys so ever since ive had my LB7 ( six months) its always started up in about 1-2 seconds. Lately its been takin anywhere from 3-5 seconds. I changed the fuel filter and oil/filter about 2 weeks ago and i checked and its not losing prime and no fuel is leaking out. Do yall know whats causing this?

Long crank times over 2-3 seconds are one sign of injector problems (ball seat erosion). Usually it is noticed first on hot starts, but can also be on on cold starts, as the problem gets worse.

Cold, warm or both? Warm or both and it is probably injectors or a weak fuel pump-fuel pressure regulator. Cold only and it is probably glow plug or intake air heater related

My 01 is doing the same thing. Doesn't matter if it is warm or cold. I tried pumping the primer until firm and still takes about 6 seconds to start. Cranking speed is normal. It will take 6 seconds if engine is warm and you shut it off and start it right back up. Runs fine once started.
