Use one of the online calculators.....

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

My summer size tires are 5% slower - Winter size 4% slower - (Than the OEM size)... So when I hand calc to be accurate I must multiply miles traveled by 1.05 in the summer ..... 1.04 in the winter...

Does this apply to mpg also? I'm running 285's and my hand cal mpg is 14.5 x 1.078 = 15.6 since the 285's are 7.8 % slower than the stock tires.

Like what was said before. Invest in something like the accu pro from procomp and adjust the size of the tires.
