I have been reading posts for the last couple of months that WalMart is selling Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5 qt jugs of oil for $19.88.

I was unable to find any in my area till yesterday. It finally arrived at the Tempe, Az Walmart and I saw it there this weekend, but the price was $23.82. I had someone else tell me a Walmart on the west side of Phoenix also had it for $23.82.

Does anyone know if Walmart had a price increase, or are they pricing differently around the country? Are you folks still getting it for $19.88?

I can only get the single quarts here in MI. The price is $4.88, so $24.40 for 5 quarts.

Even at ~$24, you are still getting a minor deal.

I wouldn't complain. I can only get quarts, and only sometimes.....when they decide to re-stock it.

NJ - 5 qt bottle - $19.88. Just bought them last week.

Last time I looked my Walmart didn't have any either (quarts or jugs).

$19.something down here in Houston. Just bought 5 jugs.

Our local Wally World just started carrying it. It's a good buy when they actually have it in stock. An in typical bueaucratic fashion, the Auto manager never knows when it's coming in or how much they're getting.

Anytime you can get Mobil 1 synth for less than $22.00 a gallon, it's a good deal.

However, the new Delvac 1 now carries a CI-4+ rating and is no longer the same formulation as the Mobil 1 truck & SUV.

The current rumor is that the CI-4+ rated oils are better for those trucks with EGR's and Cats. The new formulation has better soot control.

I would imagine that Mobil 1 truck & SUV will not be the best for diesels for long. Mobil will want to keep the diesel boys on Delvac 1.

I had seen it here in wyoming for 19.98 a couple weeks a go but looked this weekend and had gone up to 23.98 for a 5 qt jug. still cheaper than amsoil with there price increase on the first.

Picked up a couple of 5qt jugs from Wallys in Roseville for 20.02ea last week.

rjm022, Was it the amsoil synthetic blend or pure synthetic? There is a 14 dollar price difference in the two for a case of 12 quarts.

My mistake! I must of thought I was at Target rather than WalMart and trusted the price on the shelf.

After reading that the rest of the country was paying $19.XX, I checked the price again when I was at the WalMart tonight. Turns out they put the wrong sticker on the shelf. After bending down and looking at the fine print, the sticker was for the new EP formula. I picked up a jug of the Truck and SUV formula, found a post scanner, and the jug rang up at $19.87. Wahoo! So I bought two.

(As a side note, this is most likely new stock since they just started to carry it, and it does not have the the "Plus" designation like the Devac formula.)
