Probably pschological help just for owning this truck but, My truck started to run rough and has had a bit of a vibration at high rpm. Well it got worse and now idles rough and runs with a bad vibration at 55 on up. So I thought fuel, The lift pump is 1 1/2 yrs old the fuel filter is new and today I replaced all the injectors with new ones. It still runs rough but now after the injectors seems to have even less power. When accelerating hard it has some light black smoke (normal) But otherwise has no smoke except at startup when it smokes for about 1 minute. also has new glows and controller last year.

Why are you driving it when it shouldn't be running?

Is the vibration in the suspension or the engine/drivetrain? Vibrations could be various different things.

runs rough as in cylinder misfire?

vibration could be because of it running rough....

Did you check the crankshaft pulley and the balancer? Do any of the injector lines or injectors leak? How old is the IP? Did you check the fuel pressure going to the IP?

Sounds like a compression test is in order. Harbor freight sells a cheap diesel compression tesrer that you can easily adapt to the gm glow plug hole. There was a thread on the 6.5 section about it not too long ago.

It could be the IP's camring and rollers/plungers are on its way out.If the power is less now then before new injectors. Not enough fuel on some injectors
