Truck has been giving many issues lately. First it seems to be heating a little not even under load. I have cleaned the rad with both water and air, between the rad and coolers is clear. Haven't put the shroud back on yet. Hoping that is the problem. Second I think I have a elec short somewhere. The alt guage is always just under the centre line. Everyone else's truck that I have driven, the guage is just over the centre line. I'm thinking this maybe what is causing my alternator problems (3 in one year). Third, not a problem, but a question. My truck has buckets. Is it possible to get a 60/40 split from a wrecker and bolt right in? Does anyone know of an aftermarket seat that would fit where the console is when it was removed? I need to fit three in the front for a camping trip this summer and the wife wants this handled "soon". More like right @$%%%% NOW! ...
Thanks

1. Yes, No shroud May in fact cause it to run warmer but you won't know for sure till you reinstall it and see.
2. I would double check my battery connections and don't forget the main wire at the back of the alternator. I have heard that it has been known to be a problem on these years of truck
3. Should be able to find a 60/40 setup at a local salvage yard. Heck if you were close to me I'd swap you across the board, but oh well. oh BTW where are you at ?

I went the other way and switched a 60/40 for leather seats in the '93. The bolts din't all line up but you can drill holes where you have to to bolt the rest.

Just showing the sig.....however
Truck was heating a little today when running down some soft gravel roads with AC on. It's gotta be the shroud.
Had the alternator changed and they said the wire was good. Will check the battery connections. Is there something to hook up to check wiring? My signal light fuse blew this afternoon for no reason.
I would assume that the bolts for a 60/40 don't line up with a bench. Darn, I had hoped it would be an easy swap. I only need the bench for a couple weeks then back to the buckets. BTW, I'm located in SE Saskatchewan Canada
