can someone show a pic of the best place to tap for the boost fitting?

DSTRBD 03-21-2009, 01:22 PM Drill and tap the intake manifold on top of the engine. We usually pull them off to do this. skidooracer_99 03-21-2009, 01:39 PM ok thats kinda what i was wondering if you tap the thin pipe or the actual manifold. does it really matter where on the manifold or just pick a spot? could i leave it on the truck, remove the intercooler pipe from it and duct tape a shop vac to it while drilling? its kinda pointed downhill too, away from the engine where i think id tap it. This is the info from SoCals web site: · • 2004.5- 2008 LLY-LBZ-LMM SD manifold for the Duramax.
