Has anyone performed this swap in a 6.5? What are the pitfalls? Tips, tricks, gotcha's, spec parts required?

TIA

For that matter, has anyone swapped the 4L80 out for a 5spd manual?

I am considering the swap from a 4L80E to a NV4500. I have started gathering parts for the swap. I might just wait until the auto dies, but if the right deal comes along for the NV4500, I will go ahead and do it. I already have a manual steering column, clutch pedal assembly/slave cylinder, and some research. Seems to me that auto to manual would be much easier then a manual to auto due to all of the wiring changes needed for the 4L80E.

simi-crazy did it in his '93 6.5L. I have both trannies in two different k series trucks('93 5spd, '94 4l80e) and like them both. I have also dropped and reattached both trannies and have to drop the nvg4500 again to swap it for a rebuild. doing the trannie is the worst thing on the truck, removing the engne's easier.
