: LBZ PPE Error, truck won't start!

I had my PPE restored back to stock on my 06' LBZ because I had to take it to the dealer for service, and when I got home I wanted to tune it again. I pulled the two fuses like normal, plugged the tuner in, waiting for the prompt to turn the key to the run position, and went to Tune Engine. It stored all the stock data, tested the data, and all was fine. I picked my tune, adjusted tire size, etc, and hit "Install Tune". During the download it errored.

I turned the key off, unplugged the tuner, waited 15 minutes and plugged it back in. It showed the tune was installed, but I know it did not finish and it wouldn't start. I selected "Return to stock", but it will sit for about 5 minutes on "Returning back to Stock" screen, with no activity, and then error again.

I've tuned it numerous times before with no problems.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Maybe someone will chime in with a way to get it back to stock other than the "normal" way. It's weird, I followed every little rule. Didn't shut or open doors, didn't hit any controls. I keep the Edge unplugged for this too by the way. I was told by a PPE person I need to do this on the LBZ so it can't interfere.

I would also like to add that this happened yesterday so I let it sit and tried it tonight after it sat for a day. No change.

The exact same thing happend to me, and it fried my ECM, or so they say? I have pretty good faith in my dealer and don't think the would try to screw me on something like that, but i did have to haul my pickup to the dealer and have a new ECM put in.

I hauled the truck to the dealer, and they said the PCM (Yes, not ECM), is bad. Part will be in tomorrow and I should be on the road. All under warranty too. :hail:

And they are replacing it even with your chip?
