Just get normal ones, and get the cognito pitman/idler arm support kit, and you'll be good.

Info on them here: http://www.norcaltruck.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=2_385&products_id=242

They work as a "Brace" and you do need to install them on a fresh set of arms, Moog or OE for the best results if yours have alot of wear.

Here is what they look like:

just wonderin about my setup thanks; i have 66000miles and my pitman idler arm are in great condition, i also have ordered the cognito support braces which are goin to be intstalled soon. my question is about the above statement; is it necesary for new idlerpitman to be installed with the brace?? also if anyone knows if what can be done to the front suspension to reduce tierod wear that would be great.

The braces are for idler/pitman arm slop from what I am told. It could have minimal help in keeping you tie rods intact but I highly doubt it makes that much of a difference. I too have over 60k on my truck and my arms are still in good shape and I added the braces.

Happened to me last night!!! Had to be towed in! I had a shop install my lift as well as the cognito pitman idler arm assembly. I hope nothing is messed up to bad. It was too dark last night to see but I had a puddle of oil under my truck and my wheels were buckled in.

Here is a picture of what came loose. I also show the picture of the other side. I took the nut off the other side to see if I could match it up. It is a sleeved nut that is threaded all the way. I don't know if it is factory or if its something to do with the new idler pivot assembly. I ordered a nut from my gmc dealer but it did not show a sleeve on the picture. I have not found where I lost the oil yet either.

It came loose and feel off. We have them in stock if you need the special nut. Silver or Gold ? I have seen this happen before. Like Max4x4 said make sure they are locktighted.
