well last night we where out playing around and a ford pulled up and wanted to play a little. nothing serious so i got on it and down shifted into 4th gear then it goes to shift into 5th at the same time i let off the gas. a loud clunk and the truck is stuck in 4th gear. no reverse no other gears just 4th. so i whip out the predator and reset everything now i got everything but 5th gear. and a tcm malfunction - on code. is their anything i need to do? i am trying to wait till the fall to get my tranny done. i think i will be putting my stock tires on taking the lift off untill i can get a built tranny and more power!

You need a professional type scanner to read then clear the codes. I say read because you need to know what failed so that you know where the weak link is.
