So I have a single 18" air horn off a Kenworth. My question is, what would make it louder. I have a ViAir compressor with a 75 on 100 off switch.
A second trumpet the same size. (FREE)
More air pressure like 150lb. (Cheap Switch)
More air volume IE (bigger air line)

Bigger Tank, Bigger Line, more PSI, but not too much because then it'll Sound like Crap.

OK how much is to much? Not sure what kind of pressure a big truck runs. I have a tank also that I forgot to mention. I thought about taking the second trumpet and cutting it down to change its tone.

The air in a tractor trailer runs at 120 psi. And, that's what the horn sees, also.

I prob wont mess with it then, I dont think another 20lbs would make that big a diff.

A new Pressure Switch would be the Easiest and Cheapest Upgrade. Get one that clicks off as close to 120psi as you can. IIRC they make a 120psi or 125psi.
Put that in and see if you notice a difference.
In not, then a bigger Tank and Lines are the next Step. If that doesn't do it, you need a bigger Horn or more.

its pretty freakin loud right now. ill prob just leave it alone. i mounted it behind the grill pointing at the ground so if your in front of it, it will ring your ears. LOL

The closer the solenoid is to the horn the louder it will be. Larger tank & hose helps also.
