Ok, Today i went to a hockey game.(collage of course) but on my 100 mile journey I started getting a (service engine soon light). It came on for a minute then off for ten and back on ect ect. then i noticed that when i floor it or go over 2500rpm i start throwing black smoke(a good amount). ive read some threds about black smoke being unburnt diesel. but i guess my question is what are all the problems that could cause this? worst case senerio? Im waiting on a heath spring turbo booster. (wich I hope vacume is the problem) but Im worried that it isnt.
:help:
btw we won 4-2 with allot of fights and ejections

Check your turbo boost vaccum lines. They have a tendency to collapse or crack and break, thereby resulting in the loss of boost and black smoke.
Happened to me twice, before I fixed it right.
Strych919, What codes are you getting? Put some info in your sig. about your truck, it can be helpful in diagnosing some problems.

i have a 94 blazer 6.5td s engine. i havent checked the codes. (gotta go to a dealer 4 that right?) but I did change the oil today. And did notice some wet crap under the truck. Would a gasket alarm the censor though? Im lucky i did the oil when i did becouse the truck only had 3liters left in it. wich is also got me worried. but im ordering max-e-torq turbomaster combo tomorrow. wich i hope will fix. but im still a newb to diesels so comments are welcome. (give me the summer and ill be answering q's rather then asking)

Disable the EGr while you're at it but make sure the baro sensor has steady vacuum from the pump or the ECM won't like it.
