Lund makes a nice shield. I recently bought one that is painted on the back side the same color as my truck. Gave the parts mail order company my paint code and they mailed me the finished product. It's perfect and uses the holes already on the underside of the hood and does not touch the paint on the outside of the hood. It costs some extra $$ for the color match but I think that is the way to go.

I had a bright idea Monday after getting back from a long weekend trip to Arizona with my Lance 1181. My camper front wall behind my cab and the flat frontal area gets absolutely plastered with bugs that are hard to scrub off. I decided on the next trip I am applying a strip of clear contact paper to the front of the camper. Then when I get home? ZIP! Off comes the contact paper with the bugs and I am ahead of the cleaning process. Anyone else done something like this? I am wondering if I could do the same thing on the leading edge of my hood on a long trip? Soon as I get there, ZIP. Put another strip on for the return trip.

Great idea. I think I'll try that on the front cap of my 5er. It gets plastered with impossible to remove bugs.............

The NBS trucks are a little different, the front edge of the hood has a chrome strip on it and the deflector doesn't wrap under the hood so you need the right deflector.

The one from GM tapes on in the center section and on the ends there are a couple of spring clips that hook onto the hood and you screw the deflector into.

GT Styling is who made mine. It goes on with the holes that are under the hood and it wraps around the front of my 06 truck.
