I started the truck this morning and got the Check Engine Light. I immediately plugged in the predator to reveal code P0089 (Fuel pressure regulator performance). I've never had the regulator replaced eventhough I have the lopey idle at times ( I know I know.. should have done it when I had the injectors replaced at 81k). I noticed the fuel rail pressure at Idle was higher than desired, something like 54 MPa actual and 34MPa desired (I did not have the lopey idle issue this morning, it's hit and miss for me). At cruising speed it seemed to be pretty close between the two. Does this mean the fuel pressure regulator is on its way out? The truck just turned over 103k and the injectors were replaced at 81k or so. It runs good and I always leave the 40HP tune in. Any advice is appreciated. I will get a picture of the predator screen as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Replace it.
