Yes this is a Tire question for those that have actually towed with the H2 Rims and tires.

Hi all, I am new to the board, or fairly new. I have researched extensively using the search option and have to say, this is one of the most informative, honest bulletin boards I have come across, and I moderate two different classic/race car boards. :cool2:

I tow a 28’ Haulmark enclosed car hauler, with my car weight of 3700lbs. I will estimate high and say I am pulling 12000lbs. with all of my tools etc.

I really like the look of the H2 rims and tires. I know the tires can handle the weight, as there isn’t a lot of additional weight on the truck itself with the weight distribution bars. My main concern is the sway when the wind blows. I would like to hear from those that have towed with a similar combination please. I have 0 sway in windy situations with the anti-sway bar cranked down with the stock tires. I know what the recommendations are and such, but this is a guy who put the Hypertech on setting 3 and towed this combination all over the country , without a problem, ever in 80,000 miles (on my last truck) and I am looking for real experiences.

I've towed my 10k 5th wheel with my H2's once. Once. Didn't care for it at all. Too much flex in the big tires, load range D, so they have 2 less ply's than E rated tires, IMO not stiff enuf for heavy loads. Rear end squirm was evident to me. Some may not even notice it, but I did. Way back I researched the load ratings for the H2 rims, found out the following;
They are made by Superior Industries for GM.
They are cast, not forged.
Other than that, the GM and Superior reps would not give me any other info, claiming confidentiality agreements. All I wanted was a load rating, they would not give it to me.

That was my experience with the 5th, of course I had a lot of weight over the rear axle which may have made the squirm more noticable than your setup.
