1. Set up a LMM to leave the engine running when the key is taken out until the brake is pressed? For use when running into a store.

2. Make the Elevated Idle available in a 7.5 LMM like it is on an 08 LMM? Crusie control switches for elevating the idle for use with an on board air system or PTO.

3. Adjust the tire pressure monitoring system for a lower PSI before alarm? Dealer told me they couldn't chage it because of liability issues.

1. no
2. no
3. no

Trifecta, nice... :)

I would suggest making friends with somebody who owns a Tech 2. They'll be able to adjust your tire pressure sensors and adjust the elevated idle functions if I recall correctly. I'm not sure about number 1.

I was thinking elevated was not possible on 2007.5. Why I am not sure unless the hardware is not present. The remote start is a different module as well as the tpms. EFI can only alter ECM and TCM controller modules.

Yeah... I would highly doubt #1 would be possible without having a "turbo timer" of some sort. and the thing about the PTO stuff... the GMT 900 platform had the whole PTO system revamped and is way more complicated... If you had and LBZ i could tell you how to do it in about 10 minutes.

Yeah some changes to the PTO based on the 2003 Helms and the 2007 GMT-900 Helms release.

Oddly enough I've thought about all three of these issues... Edge juice with attitude seems to work well for keeping it running.(i've got mine for sale for $400) I'm still not sure it's impossible to change elevated idle to work like an 08. I'm suprised no one has done this yet, plenty of brilliant minds on this site, probably not alot of demand. The wiring looks the same, so hopefully it's just a programming issue(I've been tempted to try to reflash my 07.5ecm to an 08, maybe with a vci#). As far as the TPMS I would try a different dealer. I've done it many times for free as it only takes about 1 minute with the tech 2. Liability???
good luck, and let me know if you find a solution to the high idle feature.

Guy I work with has ALWAYS.....Broke his key off in the ignition......and yes he just did that with his 1/2 chevy he bought used last year........Brakes the key off so is doesnt look like the key is in and only carries the FOB......He said he's done that since he first started driving. would always leave the doors unlocked on his vehicles that didnt have power locks.......I dont think I could do that....

Used to have an old farm truck at my grandparents that you didnt even need a key to start the truck. Ignition was so worn out you could turn it without the key and it would start right up.

Funny b/c I always tell one of my guys I'm going to do that.........that or JB weld it in! He always takes the key out of the truck he's driving. I go to jump in and have to track it down.

I had a truck that didn't need a key either. Old GMs sometimes do that, and this one wouldn't lock back at all. Nice truck too. The rear slider lock was broke as usual too so if I forgot or lost my door key, no biggie.....I rarely locked it anyway. On a side note, the stuff in the toolbox on that truck got robbed one time, didn't have it locked. I had my Dewalt kit and radio in the truck, not locked and no key needed to start the truck. The dumb ass thieves didn't even try the doors! Luckally for me I guess.

You can do a run timer with a car-starter. I think they all have an option to engage the run timer and allow you to take out the key.

The second, may be possible, with a kit from GM. I know we have a PTO kit in our 04 LB7 that was a GM dealer option.

as Sprj8008 said, you can leave your truck run with a remote start and take the keys with you, i'm not sure on how to do it with a factory remote start but i know for sure that all of the aftermarket starters do.

Will the factory remote lock the doors when its running though? I thought most newer vehicles over ride the locking function to prevent locking your keys in your car. I know a couple of our vehicles do this.
