The auto door locks have not worked in my truck the past two mornings. The doors will not unlock when I shut the truck down and put it in park, nor does the fob work. The fob did work yesterday afternoon when I got back into the truck.

The other issue is that I have see the lights in both doors (windows controls, locks, etc) flickered like wild a few mornings ago. But, nothing else came of the flicker episode.

I have EFI and the only electrical mod that I have done is the all on lights.

Any ideas as to what the deal with the door locks is?

I forgot to mention that the interior unlock button will not work either.

No one else has had this happen? I did a search and didn't find much...

Grounding issue somewhere?

Does the clock re-set also? If yes, you might have a battery issue. The computers need a certain voltage to wake up. :)

The clock doesn't reset, I had thought a grounding issue as well...until everything started to work fine the last few days. I still see the occassional flicker in the door panel lights.

I might take it into the dealer to see what the say.

So here are the questions:
Should I reflash to stock?
Should I undo the all on headlight mod?

Thanks guys, I had about given up on getting any info.

Hell yes reflash to stock :D

Headlights I wouldnt worry about but since this could be an electrical problem who knows with GM. I would say though that that didnt cause it so I wouldnt bother but thats up to you.

Ok, it did it again this AM. I did notice that none of the lights on the door panel were light at the time. I shut it down and restarted a few minutes later when I started it up the locks worked and the door lights were back on....

Sounds like a shaky ground to me, any one else care to chime in?

If you have the original batteries-- I am betting that one bad and causing a low voltage at first start-up. Always replace in new like pairs-- just like shoes!:D

You could disconnect both batteries and wait 15secs and then reconnect and see if it starts working. If it does then batteries are the issue more than likely. Have each tested seperately and if one is bad or on the low end then replace both at the same time.

When it did it this morning I noticed that the lights on the door panels were completely out. I also checked to see if the windows would work, they would not.

This problem doesn't happen upon start up, so I do not think the batteries are the issue. I wont rule it out, though. This only happens in the AM, after the truck has sat in a garage and then been driven 11 to 12 miles to work.

Personally, I am still thinking there is a connection/ground issue.

No, I wont have the truck this weekend. We are going to have to haul Zoe and Nelli back north, that would be a full truck.

I dont know when I will havea the truck down that way...Easter might be the soonest.

I am seriously wondering about the headlight mod, as everything works in the afternoon. Fuses might be getting too hot?

After a lot of talking to the dealer I finally got them to look at the truck. I was just informed that the driver's side door module has gone bad. They have to order a new one and I will finally get this fixed.
