I'm having trouble removing the driveshaft to get it repaired and I was wondering if there was any certain thing that I need to do to get it off?

Make sure you block the wheels, don't rely on the parking brake to hold the truck. Put the shifter in neutral. Then just remove the bolts and straps. You might need to pry the ujoint out of the pinion flange.

Is it a 1 piece or a 2 piece drive shaft? Just pull the drive shaft out of the transfer case it it's a 1 piece. With a 2 piece you have to remove the 2 bolts on the center bearing then pull it out of the transfer case.
