When you change tunes does the allison tranny go thru the same learning curve it did with the last tune? I currently run the 65 hp tune and after a week the tranny is close to normal. Tow/haul is still a little unsettled. I plan to tow a trailer next week and will change to the lower setting. I would like to know if I need to do it now to let the Allison adapt now or not. Thanks

Your truck will shift smoother and more predictibly if you leave one tune in it. Any change in HP will effect the shifting/learn as a function of power.

Yes it will have to learn the new tune, including going back to factory tune.
