I have installed a Sirius Sportster receiver in my 2004 GMC truck (I have the 6 cd changer radio). I was told, that there is an amplifier imput plug from the factory that I can buy, in order to make a connection between the satellite receiver and the factory radio. Does anyone know the item number for this plug?
Any help with the plug #?

Thanks, Andy.

I cant remember who makes it, but yes there is an adapter that you can get so you can plug directly into the radio. I dont know that you will be able to control anything from the radio though.

I don't think so, I've got the receiver, the problem is, that the truck radio picks up the signal through the airwaves. This is done by finding a channel on the trucks radio and dialing in the same channel on the Sirius receiver.

There is usually static, this is why I'm trying to hard wire it, so the receiver can send the signal into the radio and not through the airwaves.

Sorry that wasn't of help, I'd try to search "Sirius XM interfaces" on google then.

Andy,
Sounds like what you heard about was the SoundGate converter to go from the reciever to the factory GM radio to convert the signal eliminating your RF modulator. It mainly converts the signal from either Kenwood or Pioneer to your factory radio. I don't think there is such a thing for your sportster. If I get bored tonight, I wil try to find something for you...
