: 1995 6.5 wont crank...ign switch?? hudson0602 03-10-2009, 03:27 PM Ok so I my alt was back so i replaced that as well as my starter, however I keep blowing the 40amp maxi fuse under the hood labled ign B ( it pops as soon as I turn the key foward) and obviously my starter doesnt engage or do anything for that matter.I think Im on the right track with the ign switch but I just want to get some opinions before I go buy one also I would like to know if there is a way to test it.....thanks Schwind 03-10-2009, 07:42 PM sounds like you have a direct short some where. I would check that the wires from the starter are not grounding out somewhere being that is the last place the wires were moved or touched. then start checking all the other major hot wires activated after the ignition is engaged. i.e. glow plug controler ect. ect. hudson0602 03-10-2009, 09:52 PM Sounds like a good place too start, but why would that fuse fry? what does it go to? everything i read says it is between the battery and ign switch? X2 on the short. Get a wiring diagram and start checking the circuit that blows. Been there, done that myself. Very Very frustrating to say the least.
