I wanted Moduline Cabinets but I decided I would make my own cabinets when I get home on R&R next month. I will be making double-door, closet height cabinets about 8'long. I will be also painting them gloss black. Does anyone have any pictures or ideas?
I will post pictures tomorrow of the a base idea I have in mind.

Thanks vietvet... but this time I am a civilian. However, I met up with my best friend from three years ago; He is in 1st Cav. and is 2bays away from where I work. Small world isn't it.

Sorry to off topic but how much do those moduline cabnets cost?

Vin63: that looks so sweet! Could you send any pictures of the inside?

Duramaxxin: They are quite costly but from the looks of it the quality is definetly there. Google moduline cabinets and they have the individual prices.

I don't have photos of the insides...they're kind of full of crap. ;)

I lucked out in that I had outfitted a few race trailers for friends awhile back. I got a bit of a discount and had ordered my cabinets before that last several aluminum price increases - the biggest cost for me was the shipping from MA to CA. Anyway, it came out to be less than what a contractor was quoting people in the neighborhood one day to install half the number of melamine cabinets.

Here's a photo of the black cabinets I installed in my shop, as well as the cabinets in my race trailer.

I went home on R&R and built my large cabinets out of wood. They turned out good but it took 3x as long as I thought and almost 2x the cost I had in mind w/ the little things such as hinges, skrews, and paint adding up.

Yep, after installing installing workshop or garage cabinets for people when I was younger and working for a contractor, the aluminum cabinets I've used from Moduline end up pretty close to the same cost and take less than a third of the time to install - from my experience. Most of the homeowners I've worked with in the past who decided against the aluminum cabinets always balked at the initial cost, and rarely took into the account the additional cost and time to fit wood or melamine cabinets.
