Diesel Demon 04-14-2005, 06:34 PM I want to put a different transmission in my truck. I am pulling a 28' enclosed trailer with my drag race car in it and all the parts needed to go drag racing. The trailer loaded comes in at about 8000 lbs. My truck is a 2001 dodge cummins shortbox 4x4 with a auto. I was wondering if anybody can give me soom info on the ATS auto trans if they have one in there truck I would like to know how it is working for them. Thanks for your time dieseldragger1320 04-14-2005, 07:09 PM I have one in my 99 QC SB and absolutely love it. Admittedly I'm sponsored by them, but I truly feel they sell a great product. The tranny is flawless, the TC and lock up is awesome and it provides excellent engine braking when the TC is in lockup. It never gets hot, and I have beaten the hell out of it, and it just keeps taking it; kinda like the Cummins ;). I hope this helps a little. That thing runs great. Cummins0104 04-15-2005, 01:05 AM Demon I recently purchased the stage 5 package from ATS. Its great!!! As dragger said it never gets hot, takes a pounding, the TC lockup is great and u can hook up a jake brake to it and the ATS commander will control it for you...i had a small problem about a week and a half after install but it was a small problem and seems to have worked its way out...personally its wonderful....a lil more $$ than i wanted to spend but i guess if ur sponsered u dont hafta worry bout ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif!!! TandC 04-15-2005, 09:09 AM Upgraded trans are great, the only complained is the cost after that all grinds and smiles.. durango12 04-20-2005, 01:08 AM diesel demon why dont you check into dtt trans products thay are in canada. i just recently installed a t/c and valvebody upgrade in my buddies 47re 2003 dodge and i have to say it is awsome. excellent firm shifts and lockup holds great. he has a 130 hp box on his and no trans slippage at all. there prices and customer service is great. just my 2 cents. d12 John DiMartino 04-20-2005, 09:07 PM Do yourself a favor and call DTT,no one does Dodges better.The few guys with ATS here have all had trouble.
