Had a very reputable audio shop install a Kenwood DDX7015, DV4100 plus XM and a video switcher to run my two rear cameras in my '05 lly LT with bose. They used an axxess gmos-04 interface module which was supposed to allow all factory functions to work normally. Well it doesn't, I've got a mulitude of minor glitches (whine in the phone, memory seats, retained power, etc. Good news is that the xm, dvd, rear cameras and the nav system work great. Has anyone had one of these installs go well? Is it just that axxess module? We're on our way to calif now and won't be back home till oct so does anyone know of a good audio shop in the sacramento area that might get these bugs out? Thanks

Sounds like you have a bad connection or a bad module. Is the whine with the phone a hans free set up or cOnStar? I'd check the connectors and make sure all the pins are good. Since you're having problems with the seats, I'd also check to see if they unplugged anything else. Anything is posable, but I have yet to see seat problems from the radio. If all the connections are good it's probably just a bad module, it happens sometimes. Most shops carry Metra and should be able to get you a new module if needed.

anyone know if one is better than the other? All the major stuff in my install works great, it's just the little glitches (like the whine in the onstar phone), that's so annoying.

If you can make it down to san diego Kenny at Soundelux will fix it. He knows all about the interface stuff with our trucks, sounds like a bad ground. I've experiencd similar problems but Kenny worked them out 619-575-7558 tell him eric sent you. All he does is super custom stuff. His work has been in many magazines.
Good luck

I am new to the site and hope this is good information and helps resolve your install. I used the periphial product the gmah24b with a chime module. In the instructions it tells to use a power noise filter if you are using a flip out. For some reason the ground, like has been talked about, is weird and has a high resistance. I have done many of these trucks and most of the time it fixes the problem. Some of the trucks have bad factory grounds, have ran into this problem doing remote starts.
