I have a 97 Powerstroke, and was doing some minor 4wheeling the other day. I went through a not very intimidating puddle and hit a small bump. By the time I made it through the puddle the power-assist on my brakes where gone. I still have brakes but have to use both feet to TRY and stop. Now there is also a ticking noise from the power steering pump area. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Check your vacuum pump loacated on the drivers side of the engine. You could have lost a vacuum hose or the pump went bad
