Just wondering which ECM seems to work best for everyone. I am currently considering the Heath and Kennedy reflashes from your recomendations. Anyone have personal experience with both? Any other ones to recomend? Thanks again!:)

I have the Heath and it's like a completely different truck. The only think I have noticed is a slightly extra solid shift from 3rd to OD when towing heavy loads. It shifts just fine with lighter loads. I do know I can outrun my sons 1 ton Ford Powerstroke (7.3) with a service shell on the back and a little weight on it.

I doubt that I will ever trade up to a newer truck. It's too easy and reasonable to service compared to the new ones. If the engine ever goes I'll get a new General block and keep on rolling.

I can't say anything about the Kennedy as I've never tried one.

Do you know what the Specs are on Westers? I mean, Fuel rate, Boost, and claimed gains? Do they mod the line pressure in the tranny too?

Heath mods all above, I've not driven a Wester or JK(new) (old JK was a Z-Ind drove that no bang for buck IMO that one) so I can't compare the 3 newest, but I do like my Heath flash

Ditto on the Heath Max-E-Tork.

Checked out the Heath site and have to say that their program sounds pretty damn good! Want to give Westers a call too and see what they have to say....then at least I won't have to deal with Canada Customs. What a PITA!

Fuel rate on mine was maxed out on WOT, boost with factory vacuum setup would hit 20PSI but maintain @ about 12PSI empty, 15-16 PSI loaded and traveling on the level. Hills would give about 18 PSI. From what i seen with my truck it would not cut fuel no matter what the IAT's were but i asked for that, A phone call will get you exactly what you ask for if it can be done, from mild to wild. I think they claim anywhere from 30 - 70 HP but don't quote me on that, its on their website. HP gains are dependent on other mods also, you can't just throw in a chip and expect 70 HP increase without other mods like exhaust.

I can't compare chips as I have only experience with Heath. I just installed Heath's Chip & Turbo Master. It is a different truck. I pulled my five'r for the first time today and was totally satisfied. The trailer weighs about 7500 and it is now night and day different pulling it. Here were I live is mostly rolling hills. I took the trailer on a twenty mile test run today. When I got on the interstate I set the cruise at 65 and just let it go. No trouble maintaing speed at all up and down hills. I am very pleased. Just thought I'd pass along the experience I have had.

Wester's does mine as well as others. I have a couple minor unique things done to mine, AND prefer to keep the computer in charge of the wastegate.

Anyone have anything to say about Dyno Sources reflashes? @ 30 day money back and lifetime on the reflash. I am having a hard time deciding. They are all semi close in price. I do like Kennedy theory of keeping the ECM in charge of wastegate.

Are the improvements of any reflash worth the money over a factory "F" ECM?

My truck doesnt really impress me as much as I thought it would, but I've narrowed it to my timing issue. If a reflash will take care of my timing needs...sign me up.

Just not sure where to sign is all.

INTERCOOLER...Thanks for clearing that up John, I'll not confuse the issue with that info anymore, and just limit it to Z Ind from now on.

BR6.5 I've not heard of them find out who's program they use; if it is a Z ind, not worth the coin IMO.

JK reflash, Wester reflash, and Heath reflash yes a substantial improvement over factory program, but gages and exhaust are 1st order of business before doing any mod that alters fuel or boost delivery, IMO
