After putting in my new keys, took it in for an alignment. They called and said that it would need aftermarket cams to align it. Then they said it would caost like $250. Anyone have any suggestions? Also with the green keys I have it almost as low as it will go and it is still about 2.5", I really only want 2". How close can the keys get to the adjustment bolt holder? Thanks

The keys can contact the holder but may make a bit of rubbing noise, just lower them almost to touching, as far as the alignment issues not too sure but I know some make longer upper A arms to compensate

Not sure what the alignment tech is talking about with the cams. I have the same truck as you. I did not install the green keys but I did almost max out my torsion bars. After doing this, when I aligned it I could not get the camber/caster where I wanted it and had to lower the truck back down slightly.
I have done alignments for many years. On our truck, the cams referenced are already installed. On the old GM trucks, the frame had to be punched out to the the first alignment. On the Ford trucks, there are no factory cams installed. You can align the truck without the cams, it's just harder. However, back to our trucks, the slots on the upper control arms will only allow the arm to move so much. The existing cams will exercise this movement from limit to limit. Adding bigger cams will not cause the arm to more further.
If you look at the upper control arm on your truck you will see the cams. They're nothing more than a big round washer with the bolt going through it close to one side instead of in the center.
