Hey, I have been looking high and low, but keep seem to be hitting a dead end. I am looking for WHITE vent visors for my truck. It's an extended cab 2003. I have thought about doing the in channel ones but I have never seen how they work with the smaller rear windows. Thus, going with white ones would I think would look pretty good.
Any suggestions or recommendations for where I can get them? Thanks in advance.

I don't know that they make white visors? I've seen chrome and smoked but never painted ones that came like that? I would assume you could paint them white... probably the best option because you could get factory color matched paint so you don't have two shades of white...

If you paint them and then put clear coat they will look nice... otherwise they will have a rough "texture" to them and may not look as nice in the end.

I got the in-channel version and like them because if I need to I can remove them and put them back in later... I don't know if they have in-channel versions for your rear style window... They might do in-channel for front and then "regular" for the rear... the kind that use double stick tape to attach to the outside might look better if you're going to paint because the inchannel type will rub on the window and it could rub the paint off if you paint both sides... (Which you would probably need to do if you got smoked visors)

Hope this helps!

I have the in channel visors, like 'em, they don't come in any colors. You have to take them to a body shop and have them paint them or you can get the paint and mix it up and paint them your self. Lucky me I know a guy who works at an auto auction and get all my stuff painted for a case of beer.

I like the in channel one too. But I have never seen then on an extended cab. Does anyone know if they make them for the extended cab? Anyone with pics?

I don't think they can make them for the Ex. cab because the windows pop out to open. They would need to go down and the channel for the rear windows is on the inside of the window.

I agree with you there. But I have seen that you can order them. I just don't want to order them to find out that only the fronts are the in channel one and the rears be like the regular stick ons. I still think I will buy the stick ons and paint them white. Unless someone knows something that I don't about the in channel ones.

Yea I have mine painted too. They look great. All they do is use a scotch brite pad to rough up the surface then paint and clear.

I just looked at your pics. Those look really good. How did you get the paint to match? Do you have to take it to a body shop or just get paint and DIY?

Took em to my body man and had him paint them along with the bumpers, grille, handles, mirrors, and wiper cowl. I hate black. :D

You can do it yourself Im sure as its not hard. If youve ever painted before its easy. Might be able to get some spray the same as your truck but I like it all done professionally.

There's painted white visors on ebay sumtimes, I havent looked lately...
I think the last price that I seen for them was $155.... I think that you could
buy the visors that you want and have them painted and maybe save sum $$$...

I got my set from gmpartsdirect for about $100 IIRC. I dont know if they have them for the old body style though. Might give them a check and see.

I looked in both places and no luck. I think I will just buy the regular ones and have them painted. Seems like the most straight forward and fool proof way. Thanks for all the help.

There's a local guy with a white f-450 who has his visors painted white to match his truck. It looks pretty clean. I'd try to find some clear ones, and paint them from the inside so the paint would be better protected.

The inside huh? I don't know. Even though it's clear I would think that the paint wouldn't look as good, plus the inside would reflect the light at me. It sounds good but not too sure how well the end result would be...

Paint the outside...not the inside. Looks professional that way and wont be opaque.

I don't think they make clear ones. The only clear I've seen is bug deflectors.
