My brakes are squeaking. First thing I did was pull the wheel and look at the rotors and pads. Pads look good all the way around. No visiable damage to the rotors. Morning noon, or night makes no diffeance. As well wet or dry conditions.
34,000 on truck

1. Is this coverd under warrenty? (Dealer)

2. Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Thanks

My wife is going to disown me, if she gets caught in the rear seat belt again. Both sides will lock up on you, and wouldn't let go until you unlock the belt and reset it. Any solutions?

Thanks

When washing the truck I have just made sure the brakes get a good dose of clean water, and they don't start making any sounds for a couple of days. I also run 6-10 miles of gravel roads every day.

On the seat belt issue, if you pull the belt all the way out it will start locking and racheting in until it released by letting it go in.

Have you done the brakes? With that mileage you either have, will be shorlty or do a lot of highway driving. If you have it's cheap or improper pads. We ran into this last year at the shop. We almost exclusively use Premium Bendix brake pads. Very very low complaint level with them. Maybe one noise complaint every 400 brake jobs or so. Did three late model GM trucks in the course of two weeks. I don't think we had done any late model GM truck brakes before these, most are to new to need brakes or are going back to the dealer. Everyone came back with a brake noise problem. Looked into it and learned pads on late model GM trucks are "ceramic" not "semi-metalic". Got a premium ceramic pad set, Akebono - they are OEM for many car manufacturers. Brought each one in and swapped the pads. Followed up with each one and no more noise. The ceramic also runs about 400 degrees cooler, better for the rotors. Since it's ceramic it's not affected by the static electricity that cause semi-metalic brake dust to stick to the wheels, your wheels stay clean.
