I've just spent a couple of hours searching, but am still a little confused about a few things. My '04 LB7 has developed an embarassingly bad smoking habit at idle in the last few weeks. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow (Friday) to get it checked out. My SES light has not come on, & the truck still runs & starts fine, but I'm almost posiitive that I have an injector starting to go bad. I removed my Juice, but that didn't help any.
So, since I have an '04, & if I have a bad injector, will I get all 8 injectors replaced, or just the bad one(s)? Will I have to pay the $100 deductible, or does that only apply to '01s & '02s? Is there any other advice you can think of before I take it in to the dealer, like maybe pour a few ounces of diesel in the crankcase right before I get there?:eek: The service manager didn't seem very knowledgable about the Duramax when I made my appointment, but they do have a diesel technician there, or so he says.
