Finally got everything in!! Exhaust (4" MBRP and intake are installed).
Can any of you guys tell me of the stock cable that comes with the attitude will be long enough for the overhead mount. (and will go back to engine comp.
Maybe also some tips on what to pay attention to and how to run the cable.
Is the headliner to take off easy???.
Want to install it ASAP when the truck comes back from the dealer.
Thanks for any tips.
(it is a 04.5 LLY)
PS. Everybody is talking about tranny upgades?? What do they do and what will the appr. cost be (installed)

Ran mine through the a-pillar through the headliner to the overhead mount. I used a stiff wire to fish through the headliner and pull the attitude cable back through. Ran it down to the fuse block and through the firewall. The cable is long enough.
As far as tranny upgrades go I'd do some research on the tranny section. There is a lot of good info there. There has been a lot of discussion on what they do and how they work (especially in the longer posts). Just keep the Attitude level at 3 or lower and you shouldn't have a problem with the stock allison. Also I recommend defueling all locked shifts.

I mounted my attitude in the overhead conseole and it was much easier than I expected. I removed the one screw holding the console in and ran the cable in the front edge of the headliner, down the pillar to the fuse block and through the door jamb. I will probably run it through the firewall to hide it even more. I did not have to use anything to fish it through the headliner, there was plenty of room.

I'd be careful running it through the door jam. It is easy to pinch the cable. It can be done but I'd run it through the firewall to prevent an accidental wire pinch. Just my .02
Do you have pics of this? Where exactly did you run it through the firewall? I want to do this without creating more issues.

Mine happend to be run through the same grommet as the alarm system. I had them put in a grommet large enough to add the attitude wire. I cannot get a pic due to it being located right behind the master cylinder. I suggest using weekilty's method. Good luck.
