It acted wierd the other day, held a gear too long but shifted up to 6th with lockup. Stopped for a minute shut it off, when I got back in and on my way two blocks later the MIL was on and it was limped. The only code was the P0700.

I cleared the code and removed the bullydog program, been about 150 miles since then, still no code and acts normal. I did use the block heater the night before and woke up to around 33F temp.

Do I need to take it to the dealer and see if the tcm has a code stored? I know my scanner and bullydog can not access the tcm... is it possible there is a code stored there?

Any help would be great, hate to shorten the life if it can be prevented.

Thanks in advance, what a great site!!!

Cleared the code and removed the bullydog program was probably a good move. Yes there is a code stored. Take it to Auto Zone or other parts store to have it read and report back. It just might of been the block heater plugged in and the out side temp to warm. I forgot the code for that. Do it soon or the code might be lost after 30/40 good key cycles.

I don't have an autozone and the local schucks cannot retrieve a code from the tcm, took it to the dealer and like you said to many key cycles and no new code set. They told me to drive it till the light comes back, hopefully I am not on borrowed time with it?

My 06 does this to me whenever I drive on the highway with the snowplow on, especially if it's above 30. Even though the gauges never read high I get codes for engine coolant, fuel temp, and various tranny codes. The cel comes on and it shifts like it's in T/H. The first time the dealer couldn't find a problem and just cleared everything. Since then I've done it myself with the Predator. I miss my 03 ZF6.
