You running a hot programmer? Huge tires? Something blocking your radiator? Has dealer checked the truck out?

The truck is bone stock, tires are 265s 17. Motor got to 250, and trans was 248. My buddy had the lly motor and it always overheated thought lmm has the same problem.

I don't know of LMM issues with heat, but I'm no expert. Does your clutch fan spool up and get loud?

O ya it screams, I live in the so cal mtns it is pretty steep grade but you sure would not think it should get that hot.

Might see what gear your in and rpm to see if it equals out right for the two. another was having towing issues. Not sure if heat related.

How heavy are you towing? I have noticed the same problem but I am running pretty heavy and in the mtns. I am thinking of doing the dpf delete I can only imagine that would help get rid of some heat.

I have a 42' WW and 33' enclosed trailer with race car. No bells have gone off yet just seems hot.

I towed 36k a few days ago with dad's LMM 3500 dually. Outside temps were in the high 70s to low 80s. I never heard the fan kick on and the trans never got over 200. Terrain was hilly, and speeds were around 50 mph.

If I have to pull real steep grades I put it in low range 2nd or 3rd gear that locks the torque converter and keeps the trans cooler and the engine does not have to work as hard, but thats 7%-8% grades in the rockies pulling between 18k and 25k

You gotta use tow/haul. I even run it in manual when needed. I haul a 40 toybox and drag a 6x12 enclosed behind that. No overheating. You should also be adding gauges asap. You may need to check your trans level. Over full will cause them to run hot. Buut I would bet it is because you are not using the T/H mode. It is there for a reason, try it you will like the results. It helps stop you too. read up on here all about it.

IMO, I wouldn't get hung up on the tow-haul mode thing. Yes, it's a great feature, but not using it is not what's causing your motor and trans temps into the 250 degree range, especially this time of year. Get your stock truck to the dealer, let them look it over, my suggesion. Those temps are too hot, no matter what. Keep us posted on what you find. :)
