I bought a NAPA universal electric fuel pump that puts out 5.5-9 psi. It's been on the truck for 9 years.Never had an issue with it.It just keeps on pumping fuel.Cost me around $125.

woah!!! For $125 or less id just get the 93 65td lift pump. Plenty of pressure 11-13 psi and plently of fuel. The one i pulled of my 93 looked original and is now on my 86 pumping wvo.

I think the gm one could be had for around $90

I'm interested in this question too. I like the mechanical pump, but I am worried about biodiesel eating through the rubber. I tried a facet pump on a vehicle a while ago, but i dont like the noise and intermittent flow. Is a 6.5L TD pump quiet? I know it flows well... The 6.5L pump should be biodiesel compatible. Does it need a special mounting bracket for the frame rail?

thanks!

The 6.5 pump is fairly quiet. I'm running one on mine. It cost me 60 or 70 bucks new. Haven't had a problem with it yet, been running it for two years now.

theres been plenty of guys running the stock mech lift pump on wvo or bio, they report no problems.....

I just like having two pumps, one fro svo, one for diesel.....if i didnt my purge times would be way too long.
