I broke the jack that came with my truck. Dont ask. Went to the dealer to order another. $98.00 + Tax  for just the jack, not the whole tire change kit. Guess Ill be junk yard hunting.

here's one for you....

my right windshield wiper wasn't squirting. i took the little plastic sprayer off the end. it was clogged. went to the stealer and they wanted $19. i couldn't do it. i went home and poked around a staple into it and some mud came out. works fine now. should be a 50 cent part.

Well since you asked..... I used it to jack up the front of a 46' house trailer that was stuck in the mud. the trailer slipped sideways crushing the jack. We eventualy got the trailer hooked up to my truck.... I think I was a little overweight.... and I pulled it out of the mud. it was quite an adventure.

think about getting a highlifter jack? might make it alot easier lifting the truck and anything else you would want to.

I keep a 12 ton bottle jack and boards in my toolbox.

:exactly: What he said. Bottle jack all the way. Highlift jacks are great, but you'll probably do more damage to body/bumpers than raise your truck. Not too many high jack points anymore.

I used the stock jack twice, the second time I used it it refused to collapse. I now only use the 16 ton hydraulic I keep in the back.

Not too many high jack points anymore.that is why they make the new bumper lift adapter, you can use it on the new style bumpers like ours, also you can get the new Lift-Mate which you can use on a wheel if you have one with open spokes and you use some sort of padding between it and the wheel. (Trust me, I have used it quite a few times.....)

Just curious..... How do you change a wheel when the jack is stuck through one of the spokes?????

Anyone know how to bleed a bottle jack? I have one from Sears that needs bleeding but I dont have any instructions.

well you obviously dont change the wheel you used to lift the truck, if you need to change the rear tire jack up the front enough to get the rear off the ground, or use the bumper lift. -Jeff
