Hey guys,
Another member is making some different billet emblems for the Duramax and the Allison Trans. They look to be some good looking badges. (You can check out the threads in the Accessories and Aftermarket and the Allison Trans forums) I would love to have a similar "6.2 Liter Diesel" emblem on the door of my 1984 K10 6.2. The member (MaXRSmart) that is creating these badges is busy right now with the alli trans badge right now, but I just thought I would go ahead and see if there was any interest in a 6.2 badges....go look at the badges in the other threads to see what they look like.

Good idea, sounds nice.
I never thought of that, but I got ahold of 2 tailgate "Diesel 6.2L" emblems and im going to stick them to my doors, to kinda replicate the newer look.
If you do it, post pics if you can.

Well, yeah, technically, but I think that "Liter" looks better. Anyone know why they spelled it like that...?

Because Litre is the correct spelling :muahaha:
Most of the English-speaking world spells the basic unit of length in metric systems “metre.” In the United States, it is spelled “meter.” Similarly, the unit Americans spell “liter” is elsewhere spelled “litre.”
The American spelling is due to Noah Webster (1758–1843), who condemned the “-re” ending in his influential speller and dictionary.
Not all American authorities approve of the “-er” ending; the American Society for Testing and Materials and the U.S. Metric Association prefer “metre” and “litre.”

Well, yeah, I figured that "Litre" was the technically correct spelling and that "Liter" was the more commonly used spelling. No big news there...
I didn't think that General Motors misspelled it on all those trucks.... :D

I can make these badges to say whatever you want as long as it will fit. You can always have a custom one off set that is just for your truck. Give it some thought and let me know if I can help.
