When My buddy who founded the Plowville Pullers first got into pulling, he used a GMC 6.5 diesel. Then when he got hooked on pulling he bought that wreack dodge and his original plan was to take the motor from the dodge and put it in the GMC. That plan was scrapped when he realized all the eletrical work involved. I would have liked to see the ol'd GMC tuned up and kicking ass but that's what they call them dreams.

im sure you saw me at the buck pulling already this year but i have a 6.5 96 dually chevy its red and grey.my brother told me to check you guys out and maybe see if you can offer me sum help i only paid 600 for the truck and it appears that alot of kids make fun of me for not doing better than i am and because it a 6.5.is there anything i can do to get more power out of it without tearing the engine apart?and im also wondering if you can help me with what gear to put it in and if i should have it in 4 low or 4 hi?im a big chevy guy so it was hard for to pass this truck up any help id appreciate it.it drives me up the wall expecially last night my brother said a kid thought he knew everything abt the 6.5 that mine wasnt turbo and my mom told one kid off after he made a comment saying this aint main street. id like to know where was his truck if he thinks he can do better

well the 6.5 is really is not the best truck to be yanking the sled with, by no means am i saying there right for trash talkin tho
