A week or so ago my engine started ticking with 220,000KM (137,000 mi.) on it. Now it has gotten worse and is knocking, it sounds like a lifter. I've read that bad injectors can sound like lifters, but does a bad injector knock even when deccelerating? With mine it knocks at all RPMS when revving up or down and is actually more noticable off throttle. Does anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.

Dump a quart of 2-stroke oil or a heavy dose of additive in the fuel tank and see if the tick noise changes.
