Just picked up an 05 Duramax with 85k on the clock. I am looking to make this thing a beast.

Parts recommendations wanted:

Lift Kit
Full Exhaust
Drivetrain necessary upgrades
Chip
Gauges and Gauge pods
Instrument cluster upgrades
Shift Kits?

start doing searches for what you want go to the vendors section and start spending money

I would get a hold of nor cal nick for the suspension needs, Mike L at ingelwood transmissions for the tranny. Between the two of them they can get you hooked up with what you need, or tell you were to go to get it.

don't forget the PPE or EFI Live

what size lift do you want to run?

Cognito Is a great lift. I love mine. Idler arm upgrade

Lift Kit Cognito
Full Exhaust Silverline or MBRP
Drivetrain necessary upgrades MA stage III, suncoast parts, 1057 converter
Chip EFi live or PPE hot +2
Gauges and Gauge pods Whatever suites you liking, Isspro, Dipricol, Autometer
Instrument cluster upgrades No idea here
Shift Kits? Enhanced shifting will come with the trans and tuning, maybe a ATS co-pilot

The LLY will also ned some supporting mods. Find a LBZ turbo inlet for better turbo efficiency, get a EGR blocker plate, re-route the PCV, get yourself an S&B intake, Fass lift pump, PPE race valve, the list goes on and on.

You can search for may of these things here and find alot of information. IMO the LLY is a good motor and will easily make 500+ whp without too much modification.

I bought an exhaust like the one below off Ebay and it is sick! Probably one of the best purchases I have made other than my Edge.
