Hey, I was just wondering if any of you who have had your trucks a while have ever experienced problems with your throttle pedal system? (Drive By Wire) I am not having trouble, and am not looking for trouble, but it's something new to me so I'll ask.
I have also seen several posts with complaints about throttle hesitation and other issues related to acceleration which seem to be hard to locate, could this be an issue there??
Just thinking out loud there guys, so don't go reading too much into this post.

only issue I had with the new design was it was "too sensitive".. I would go over a bump or something and end up gunning it by accident. I like the operation of the actualy cable instead of the electronic throttle personally.

yesterday I pulled slow on a green lilght to turn left, when I hit the pedal, it stumbled to where I thought something broke, then it ran fine. first and only time truck ever acted funny. 2005 LLY about 1500 miles on the clock.

I am with him, these pedals are way too touchy in the new trucks. With all the power that they have, when you drive through a mud puddle the bump always causes you to tromp the gas. It gets really touchy when backing trailers places where it is bumpy. This was more noticable in the gas truck though since it had a little better throttle response because of being N/A.

I agree.... I drove my 2001 6.0 gasser today pulling a 28' pace race trailer to pick up the car from paint. Smooth as a baby's bottom while bouncing down that washboard we call the I-5. Dropped the truck and trailer at home... hopped into the 05 diesel to go to work, ( I know.. I know.... :cookoo: DAMN hitch isn't ready yet) Went right back down that same stretch and had the throttle doing the Humpty Hump the whole way. making the turbo spool and unload at an annoying frequency. The only way to get smooth throttle operation over the bumpy spots is the cruise. :shake: Maybe we should ask Fingers if there is a way (at speeds over 50 mph perhaps?) to smooth the modulation in throttle that we feel due to such fine throttle response in the throttle by wire system?
