: anyone know the Vacuum hoses diagram on a EGR 6.2 mustangmike94 03-02-2009, 05:49 PM we have my new motor installed and running, but the vacuum lines are unplugged everywhere and we cant seem to find where the lines go so if anyone has a diagram or could tell me where they go from looking at your vehicle that would be great! Did you change the engine and use one from a newer truck? The TPS might be differnt. I've herd older trucks have a TPS that controls the amount of vac to the trans. The TPS has a VRV (vac regulator valve) I removed my Cruise because the diafram was shot. threw out the vac solinoids and installed a blockoff intake gasket. So I only have one line to my heater controls. Mines an 87 so thats all i need. You need vac to only the heater controls Tee to the VRV From the VRV to the trans, i reckon thats how it goes. The egr will only slow you down. jmay2174 03-03-2009, 11:44 PM It would be nice if you had let us know the details of your truck. Is it 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton, 2x4 or 4x4, standard or automatic, 3 speed or 4 speed, etc. The only transmission that used vacuum is the TH 400 3 speed. I suggest you go to Ebay and get a GM Service Manual (1982 General Motors Light Duty Truck Service Manual, X8232). It will give you wiring and vacuum diagrams and plenty of pictures with complete instructions.
