This last week my truck was broke into, they broke the back window and got in and stole whatever they could, dvd nav unit and ipod and what not, not to big of a deal i guess, but when they stole the nav unit they just reefed on it till all the wires ripped out and the harness is half mangled. Now the truck is doing funny things, the glow plug light doesnt come on it at start-up even though its -15*c out and the air conditioning doesnt work (the snow flake just flashes a few times then shuts off), signal lights dont work, and my door ajar system doesnt work anymore either. I was wondering if anyone knows if maybe some fuse blew and i just need to replace that, i looked around through the two fuse panels but didnt find anything to obvious. I used EFI scan tool to pull the codes on the truck and it gave me low voltage or cicut problem codes for the AC, wait to start, and Door ajar stuff but nothing about the signal lights, When you flick the signal on absolutly nothing happenes no tick or lights... nothing. Anyways, any ideas?

You can be pretty sure that they did more physical damage then meets the eye by yanking the wires. The dash is going to have to come apart and un-tape all that wiring harness and look for broken wires. A lot of those issues are directly related to the radio wiring harness but some will likely be deeper in the wiring harness.

Actually it won't be that bad. The top dash pad is easy to take off and that makes the wire harness quite accessible.

I would contact your insurance company to see if it covered and then have the dealer write it for a new harness. New harness would be cheaper and easier in the long run than trying to repair the damaged one.

ohya that was my plan i already squared her all away with the insurance company that this is not going to be a repair... it needs to be replaceed, especially here in alberta goes from -35 in winter to +35 in summer that splice would get all corroded out and just be problems down the road
