I've got an '03 Duramax. For about a month now, either when I start my truck or just when I'm driving down the road, my instrument cluster will either not come on when I start the truck, or will die while I'm driving. I fit it a couple of times with my fist and it comes back on and usually works for a while. Now the lights at night will all work, but the gauges, such as speedo, gas, volatage, every gauge, just dies. And the information center goes blank. Got any ideas guys? Am I gonna have to buy a new instrument cluster?

Sounds different than me but on a 2003 2500 Avalanche my cluster would not come on. If I disconnect the battery it would come back on. Ended up changing battery and problem went away. Actually more detail in other post I have posted on this. So I would disconnect both batteries, wait 15 secs, reconnect them both and see if that works. If so load check each battery. Just my one experience with 2003 cluster and 2003 stock battery.
