Hello all, i am soon to be ordering a new truck and am stuck on which to go with .
The GMC sierra or the Chevrolet Silverado in the 2500 series.
I am also going with a cognito leveling kit and 285 tires.
One more question would be the wheels. What width of wheels should i be looking at. I do not really want them sticking out too much and constantly spray the truck - as i am on grid road a lot.
Hope to hear some feedback !

What ever looks best to you. As far as wheels go, I'd go for the 8" when using 285's. Some guys use the stock 6.5 but I think thats squeezing the tire a bit.

Don't mean to hijack but anybody know how 17x9's w/ 4.5" backspace on 285/75/17's would look, how far they stick out. I too drive alot offroad and I likee my three week old new paint on my new truck. Thanks, really didn't want to start a new thread.

Jessi, This is the way i see it. If you like a more agressive front end go with the chevy IMO. If you are more partial to the previous front end on the chevy before they changed it in 03, and like a more subtle look, go with GMC. This is all just my opinion, i prefer the gmc, but its all just personal preference. Good luck! :D
