I am near the Sacramento, CA area and on Thursday my XM starting cutting in and out while on my way to work. Now it's showing no signal at all. It's flat wide open land so no obstructions. I called XMradio 3 times now and those people are idiots. So as of now I have no XM and was wondering if any else is experiencing the same. Do you guys think it could be an antenna gone bad or a bad antenna connection? I have searched and found some good info. here but no outages recently. Thanks for your help.

Check and make sure the antenna wire is firmly plugged into the xm box behind the glove compartment. Mine worked it's way loose; don't think it was ever plugged in well from the factory.

thanks, I'll check that out. Funny thing is, is that I went out this morning and it worked fine for about 2 hrs. while runnin errands and then on my drive home it went out again. From the time I got home yesterday til this morning it's been in the driveway. So it went out and came back on all while in my driveway with no movement. I'm gonna check the connection but I'll bet it's XM service going to crap.

sounds like a short either in the antenna wire or power wire

Out of the blue it started working yesterday morning. I didn't even get a chance to look at the antenna wire or anything else for that matter. At this point I think it was a XM repeater or something and not the truck. Oh well, atleast I can listen again. Thanks.

thats sirius/xm slllooowwllly slipping into bankruptcy.

They're just trying to butter you up to not having the service :D

Seriously though I agree that it sounds like XM was having hardware issues.
