I Have An Ocasional Knocking @1500rpm. It Sounds Like The Pilot Injectors Are Turning Off. I Use Service Power Diesel Kleen With Every Tank Full. Should I Take It To The Steeler Ship And Have Them Reprograme The Computer.

I'm having the same issue. Truck has about 60k on the clock, totally stock. This problem is intermittent and seems to get worse the hotter it is. I don't here it while cruising on the freeway and I don't here it under hard acceleration. But a definite knock sound @1500.

bbtom, remove the edge first and see if it still happens. Then check/verify the injector harness on the known 2 and 7 are good. search for this.

kevok, when you say it gets worse the hotter it is.. do you mean the truck or outside temps getting hotter? also check the harness.

Hotter outside, will do a check on the #2 and #7 issue. I have read many posts on that one!
