You can't nec "delet" it. I believe you just block it and put a fingerstick in. It's the same effect and is hard for the dealer to ever notice.

I removed the cooler, but had to use the egr manifold to mount the intake manifold to. Made some 1/4" blocker plates and installed a hose from the firewall fitting to the engine fitting. Just bypassed where the cooler was. Worked out pretty good.

Care to explain what you did with the wiring and plugging the hole? What codes are you seeing?

I have done the same as well, I just used the gasket as a template, and cut a piece of 1/4" with the plasma at work.

If you take the valve all the way off tape the harness up, use efi live to eliminate the codes, and fab up a support for the intake and make sure the ports have a good flange to seal to.

I cut the flange off the up pipe and welded a plug in it's place.

BTW,
This is what the EGR valve looks like and where the intake mounts to it just so you know what you're up against. (http://www.dieseltowingresource.com/showthread.php?p=105991#post105991)
